Ramona just got engaged a few days back and is getting married in June.. So fast! But I'm so happy for her.. After all the heartache and tears and everything, Im so glad it all worked out the way she dreamt it would.. Feels so strange seeing her single one minute and the next, I see her engagement pictures on Facebook. Can't wait for her to come back and fill us in on all the details.. :) It's so exciting seeing your friends getting engaged or married and planning stuff.. Benita and I were just talking about it, envying Ramona for managing to overcome all obstacles she faced along the way and ending up with her true love.. It's so beautiful.. That smile on her face.. That glow around her.. So pretty.. And the way that Dean was looking at her in the pictures.. Can see that he adores her.. So sweet..
It's strange I suppose.. Getting engaged... Having someone else in your life.. Sharing your life with another person.. It's no more a 'me' or 'I' thing but more of an 'us'.. Making decisions wouldn't be as easy cuz there is another person to think about.. Responsibilities kick in.. Changes in your lifestyle.. Lots of adjustments and sacrifices would come in, in terms of managing finances, going out, habits etc.. But I guess that's also the nice part.. The change.. The effect that someone else is going to have in your life.. The things you would learn along the way.. Being able to have an impact on another person.. Being able to care for someone.. Having someone there for you.. Having someone to lean on, to trust, to cry to, to laugh with, to complain to, to annoy, to love, to cherish, to be totally idiotic around and not feel stupid, to spend quiet moments with, to fight with, to share everything with and know for a fact they would always care and stick by you.. I guess that makes it all worthwhile.. Provided you meet the right one... :)
All weddings are similar, but every marriage is different... Something to think about..
