Sentosa

Today we went to Sentosa, cuz dear Vic wanted to celebrate our one year anniversary.. We decided to incorporate Sai's birthday surprise together as well.. We had like tonnes of things to bring-newspapers, umbrellas, tealights, her present, camera, cake, everything and we dragged ourselves to Sentosa only to initially lose our way but finally we landed at a nice cosy spot in Palawan where we made ourselves really comfortable.. We took a couple of random pictures ad stuff and then decided to set up her surprise before she got there. We drew a nice "Happy Birthday" on the sand and used the tealights to spell out 'Sai' below that and we topped it off by drawing a huge heart around the whole thing.. We meant to light the candles as she was approaching. So having prepared everything, we sat down to play cards till Vimal turned up and then we resumed photo taking. We had a nice time by the water, taking photos and playing with the water.. Too bad we couldn't really catch the sunset, though.. We came back and waited for Geeta and Sai to turn up.. When they were reaching we attempted to light the tealights.. But, the wind decides to be funny then.. Where there was no wind all along, it suddenly started blowing out the candles.. Sooo annoying!!! We were all on our hands and knees relighting candles and blocking the wind with newspapers.. Finally we successfully managed to get sai to see our masterpiece.. I think she was surprised.. Haha.. we made her cut her slice of Oreo cheesecake after blowing out her candles and we proceeded to catch 'Songs of The Sea'.

That was just.. Wow! I loved the water sprays and the animation.. The 25 minutes just flew by and the company was wonderful as well.. I am so tempted to take the little kids there. Im sure they'd love it!!! It was really beautiful, the fire, the water, the lights, the songs, the setting, everything! Im glad we all went for it.. Nice end to the evening :)This is my fav part...


And the ultimate highlight- our trip back to the MRT from vivocity. That was seriously very traumatising. We went to the wading pool to take pictures and so we left our belongings on the stone sitting area so that we could roll up our pants to get into the water. We were all standing in the water snapping pics when suddenly Vic yelled "cockroach!" Never have I seen people move out of water sooo quick.. We scrambled out of the water and grabbed our belongings and ran-not before giving those sitting around some real solid entertainment as we ran around the cockroach screaming. Then we moved towards the stairs and some genius suggested taking a pic sitting on the stairs.. so we very nicely arranged ourselves on the stairs one below the other and Vimal positioned himself in front of us to snap a pic. All of a sudden, Geeta screams and we all jump up to see a cockroach again. We just ran screaming. I think we gave Vimal and those around a lot of amusement. Aiyo.. Then we decided to just forget about taking pictures and to just go back so we were walking towards the glass doors when Geeta jumped.. Automatically we all jumped and she kept insisting there was something crawling on her although we all didn't see anything. Sai kept insisting she saw something too. But since there was no physical evidence present, we carried on and entered into the bustling Vivo when Sai just screamed. We turned around in time to see her throw her bag on the floor in the middle of Vivocity yelling, and a stupid cockroach was seen scampering away from her.. We were all horrified.. Luckily Vimal was there to help her pick her things, otherwise I think we may have just left them there and run. We were so paranoid we all started checkin all our belongings and running fingers through our hair to make sure there wasn't anything anywhere. Till we got home we all kept fidgeting, thinking there was something still on us... Aarghh!! A really disturbing end to the whole outing.. That was seriously a birthday "surprise"..

Oh well, but other than that stupid annoying cockroach that kept trailing us, I must say we had a wonderful day and I really hope we can do this again some other time minus the rush :) Hope you enjoyed your birthday Sailu darlin! *muakz* Goodnight!!
